Owner-Surrenders

Trinity of Hope Dog Rescue places a priority on taking shelter dogs. Many times, we have to turn down shelter dogs because we don't have a suitable foster home. For this reason, we only accept owner surrenders if the following conditions are met:
(a) The dog is of sound temperament.
(b) The dog is heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention
(c) The dog is clean.
(d) The dog is accompanied by its toys, bedding, crate, food, dishes, etc.
(e) The owner is willing to either bring the dog up-to-date on its shots and other necessary medical treatment (alter the dog if it is not already altered) or the owner is willing to pay a surrender fee to cover the costs of altering the dog and bringing it up-to-date on vaccinations.
(f) The owner has made reasonable effort to find a new home for
the dog prior to contacting THDR.
(g) The owner is willing to hold the dog until a foster home becomes available, or
(h) The owner is willing to pay the costs to board the dog until a foster home becomes available.
