In Memoriam: THDR Delphine de Norbert, Princess Grace...Kelli, July 26, 1995 - October 12, 2003
As Kelli's family, extended family, and friends reminisce about Kelli, it has often been mentioned how she started on her journey to us, in that, she was taken to her veterinarian to be killed because the family no longer wanted her. That veterinarian refused to kill her and undertook to find her a new home instead. Had that veterinarian not felt as he did, we would never have known Kelli's never-ending enthusiasm, her bouncing, her barking, her joy for life, or the love she taught us. The silence she has left behind in our lives, is profound. Each passing day, she is sadly missed.
In this time of great personal sorrow, many have acknowledged the gift Trinity of Hope's Princess Grace...Kelli gave to us by sharing our hearts and lives through their generous financial donations to Trinity of Hope Dog Rescue in Kelli's memory. We are humbled, and deeply touched, by this generosity. We had no idea that so many followed our rescue efforts. We would like to use these gifts to help dogs that are taken in veterinarians who will not participate in the killing of a dog because it is more convenient for the owners.
